The top quality is the best I've ever seen. My present was a Mossberg 500 now it's the Mossberg 500X. The greatest shotgun I've ever used. The wood looks like it was cut from a log, the workmanship is top notch, the finish is the best of any shotgun I've ever owned. It has a rubberized butt plate, and the cold hammer forged barrel and action are one piece, no worries about it going bad. The safety lock on the trigger has to be set so that there is no trigger travel, I can't give it a better review than that, I can't say anything else about it except that I can't give it enough praise for the craftsmanship that was put into this shotgun. The Winchester "X" 12 Gauge Deer Gun with Silver Matte Finish and Gold Trigger is truly a work of art. I love the Mossberg. I love the way it feels in my hands, the way it performs, it's accuracy, the top of the line finish that was applied to this shotgun. I can't say enough good things about the Mossberg 500X.
